Models used in the SEPRISE demonstration
One of the results of the SEPRISE project is a Numerical Modelling and Forecasting Inventory, listing details of 96 operational and pre-operational models that are currently being used in Europe. The complete detailed list can be found here .
Data from some of the operational models have been made available to SEPRISE. They have been used to provide forecasts as well as direct comparison with in situ measurements in the SEPRISE demonstration. Model results have been provided by the following institutes:
BSH (Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie, Germany) - BSHcmod and DWDDMI (Danish Meteorological Institute) - BSHcmod, HYCOM and WAM
FIMR (Finnish Institute of Marine Research) - BalEco and WAM
HCMR (Hellenic Centre for Marine Research) - WAM
INGV (Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia, Italy) - MFS
KNMI (Koninklijk Nederlands Meteorologisch Instituut) - KNMI/Kalman
MeteoGalicia (Spain) - MOHID and WAVEWATCH III
Met.no (Norwegian Meteorological Institute) - MIPOM
Met Office (UK) - FOAM
MSI (Marine Systems Institute, Estonia) - HIROMB
MUMM (Management Unit of the North Sea Mathematical Models, Belgium) - Optos_nos and Optos_Wave
PE (Puertos del Estado, Spain) - HAMSOM, WAM, POLCOMS and DIECAST
SMHI (Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute) - HIROMB and SWAN
